1859 His firm was founded by Gaucher & Tonnelier.
1869 Gaucher became sole owner
1875 Gaucher merged with Gariod who managed the business at 28 rue St Augustin on his own & dustinguished himself as a specialist maker of bracelets & gold necklaces. Gariod also worked with Joue Descomps.
1900 Lucien Gautrait was one of the more notable jewelers in the Art Nouveau period, well known for his peacock motifs and fine enamelling. He began his career working for Léon Gariod as a modeller and chaser.
The personal & artistic circumstances of Gautrait who also worked for Vever remain one of the unsolved riddles in the history of Art Nouveau. Even the record of his name is not reliable most writers state it was Lucien while others including Irmela Franzke call him Leopold!  link
